Before: Original Cabinet Finish
After: Hand-Painted Transformation
The Four-Day Process
Robert O’Mahony – Hand-Painted Kitchen Specialist provides a methodical four-day process designed for homeowners across Kerry, Limerick and North Cork. This efficient approach revitalises your home using traditional hand-applied skills, avoiding the high cost and waste of a full replacement.
Day 1
Preparation & Deep Cleaning
Disruption is kept to a minimum as doors are removed for workshop preparation. Every surface is degreased, sanded and repaired, ensuring the professional water-based paints bond perfectly to the wood.
Day 3
Detailed Hand-Painting
Attention turns to the fine details. Further coats are applied to build deep, lasting colour. This step defines the quality of the finish, bringing new life to every corner of your kitchen cabinets.
Day 2
Priming & Structural Coating
The foundation is laid with high-adhesion primers. Robert applies the initial hand-painted layers to frames and panels, focusing on achieving a smooth coating for your transformation.
Day 4
Reassembly & Final Refinement
After a final check and any delicate touch-ups, doors are refitted and hardware is replaced. Your kitchen is now fully modernised, clean and ready to use with a beautiful hand-painted finish.
The Craft Behind the Finish
Finished by Hand
Every visible surface is carefully prepared and painted by hand, with close attention given to edges, panels and detailed areas.
Water-Based Paints
Modern water-based paints provide a durable finish while avoiding the heavy smell and long drying times associated with traditional oil-based products.
A Four-Day Process
A carefully organised process allows most kitchens to be refreshed in approximately four days, helping to keep disruption to your home to a minimum.
